Vesper Valentine is an award-winning producer and performer whose work has helped shape and elevate burlesque arts communities through performance, production, and leadership. She burst onto the glittering stage of Burlesque Glamour & Glitz in 2015 with a captivating fusion of sultry allure and irresistible sass. Since her debut, Vesper has mesmerized audiences worldwide, leaving a trail of dazzled spectators in her wake. With a seasoned presence on both Canadian and U.S. burlesque festival stages, she has also taken her talents international, with accepted appearances at festivals spanning from Panama to Croatia. Most recently, she was honored with the Leading Labradorite Award for Mayor of Burlesque at the Kootenay Quartz Awards, as voted by her peers.
Vesper is the founder and producer of the Kootenay Burlesque Festival, a platform she created to showcase diverse talent from across the globe and within her local community. With a focus on inclusivity and artistry, she has helped shape the festival into a highlight of Nelson’s vibrant burlesque scene. Under her leadership, the festival was awarded The Chalcedony Showcase Award for Best Production 2025 at the Kootenay Quartz Awards and has also received international recognition with a nomination for Best Place To Be at the Silver Tusk Awards.
In addition to her festival work, Vesper is the headmistress of the Kootenay Burlesque Academy, Nelson’s only school dedicated to burlesque. Through education, production, and mentorship, she empowers students to develop their own artistry and performance skills while fostering a collaborative, supportive environment. Her work continues to elevate emerging talent and strengthen the burlesque arts community, shaping a future grounded in inclusivity, leadership, and creative expression.
